NOTICE CSG/ADVT-1/2009 Date: July 7, 2009

Applications are invited in the given format giving full details of academic records and experience supported by evidence for Computer Systems Trainees in the department of Computer Support Group (CSG). This does not entitle any claim for permanent positions in future. Qualification: i. B.E./B.Tech. degree (CSE/IT/ECE/EEE/ICE) (or) ii. MCA, M.Sc. (Computer Science) Desirable:

(a) Excellent academic records from reputed institution.

(b) Experience in hardware and software

(d) Programming knowledge in C, C++, VB, Java, Oracle.

(e) Knowledge in PHP, MySQL.

Preference : The person with work experience will be preferred. Age below 26 years. Stipend: in the I Year Rs. 6,000/- (Consolidated pay per month). in the II Year Rs. 7,000/- (Consolidated pay per month).

Mode of Selection: Written test / Practical test followed by an Interview. 3) Details of previous experience and present employment in chronological order with the name of the employer and full address thereof, post held, salary drawn, and nature of duties performed should be enclosed.

4) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test / interview.

5) The opportunity as Computer Systems Trainee in NIT-T is purely temporary.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the Bank’s website only and no other means/ mode of application will be acceptable.

(a) Guidelines for the candidates.

The candidates should have a valid email id before applying online and the same shall remain valid for the duration of the recruitment process. In case the candidate does not have a valid e-mail id, he/ she shall create a new email id before applying online.

Candidates shall visit the Bank’s website www.federalbank.co.in and follow the link “careers” and download the challan for remitting the application fee.

Challan No.1 should be used for remittance of application fee through any of the branches of Federal Bank and Challan No. 2 should be used for remittance of application fee through any of the branches of State Bank of India.

Candidates shall fill up the challan & remit the application fee at any of the branches of Federal Bank/ State Bank of India. Thereafter, the candidates are required to apply online and mention the application fee payment particulars given in the challan in the online application form.

Candidates, including SC/ ST candidates paying the fee through the branches of State Bank of India would need to pay an additional amount of Rs.50/- as service charge to State Bank of India.

The payment of application fee must be made on or after the date of opening of the online registration gateway i.e. 04.05.2009 but before the close of business on 04.06.2009 i.e. close of online registration gateway. Even if the Bank extends the last date of registration due to technical reasons, the valid dates for the payment of application fee as indicated above will not be changed.

After remitting the application fee, logon to our Bank’s website www.federalbank.co.in and follow the link “careers”. Then click “Recruitment of Probationary Officers and Clerks – 2009”. Then click “apply online”. The system will open online application. Fill up this online application with all the details required in the application and click “Submit” available at the bottom of the online application. A Registration Number and Password will appear immediately on the screen. Candidates are required to take printout of the online application using the above registration number and password. Candidates shall retain the printout of the online application with them until the result of the written examination is published. The printout will be required to be sent to a specified address, only if the candidate qualifies in the written examination.

Candidates are required to bring to the examination centre at the time of written examination, the call letter, which can be generated by the candidates using the registration number and password obtained at the time of registration of online application. A recent passport size colour photograph shall be pasted on the call letter.

Candidates should submit the bank copy of the application fee Payment Receipt Challan along with the call letter at the time of written examination, failing which the candidate will not be admitted for the written examination.

Valid proof of identity such as PAN card/ Passport/ Voter’s ID Card/ Driving License/ Permanent Identity card issued by the present employer or any other valid proof of identification with a photograph should be produced at the time of interview to be conducted by the Bank.

Final selection will be on the basis of the ranking accorded after the written test and interview.

(ii) Call letters for written Test.

Candidates are required to down load call letters for appearing in the written test from the website of the Bank from 18.6.09 onwards by entering their Registration number and password generated at the time of applying online. A recent passport size colour photograph (without dark glasses) should be firmly pasted on the call letter at the prescribed place and should be signed across by the candidate. Sufficient copies of the same photograph should be retained for use at the time of written examination / interview. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance till the entire recruitment process is over. Failure to produce the same photograph at the time of written examination/ interview may lead to disqualification. Candidates are required to bring bank copy of the application fee payment receipt challan along with the call letter.
(iii) Venues for the Written Test
The Bank will conduct the written test at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata & New Delhi.
